iTEM works with all kinds of Project Types
You can select various different project types within iTEM, depending on how you wish to charge your customers for your time and work. Each option provides very different invoicing methods. You can also select a zero-charge project for your own company, which allows you to use iTEM for project management without generating an invoice.
Fixed Cost Projects
If a project is set at a fixed cost, tasks cannot have a charge related to them. You can invoice for your project only when all the tasks are complete. At this point, your project will appear in your “ready to invoice” list. You can adjust your costs up to the point of invoicing. You can take deposits and offset them against charges.
In a per hour project you can set a standard hourly rate or you can choose the “per user” option. Selecting this will allow you to have different rates for different users on the project.
Per day will let you set a daily rate or you can you user the “per user” option. Selecting this will allow you to have different rates for different users on the project. You can also set the number of hours in a working day.
In a per task project each task is chargeable rather that the overall project. So you can select, fixed, hourly, daily or no charge at all.
Recurring Support Projects
If you support your clients on a regular or scheduled basis, iTEM can generate an invoice at the end of each month or any period as desired so that it is not forgotten. You can set Pro Forma invoices, allowing you to invoice in advance of the set period.
Recurring Services Projects
This is similar to Recurring Support Projects. You can charge for a recurring event such as hosting or rent or subscriptions. You can set the project, the charge rate and the time period and let iTEM do the rest of the work for you. You will be notified and invoices will be made available to send at the correct time.
